Privacy Policy.
Last Updated: April 27, 2026
1. Introduction
Pocket Pricer ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our mobile application.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
Pocket Pricer does not require account creation and does not collect your email address or personal login credentials. The Inventory System is tied to your anonymous Device ID — no account, email, or password is needed to save and manage your inventory.
Device Identifiers
We generate a random device identifier stored locally on your device to track scan usage limits. This identifier does not personally identify you.
Inventory Data
When you scan a product and choose to add it to your inventory, that item's data — including the product name, description, purchase price, estimated sale price, profit calculation, and any photo you captured during the scan — is stored on our secure servers (via Supabase) linked to your Device ID. This allows your inventory to be preserved even if you reinstall the app. Scans you do not add to your inventory remain stored locally on your device only, and we do not have access to that data.
Subscription Data
Subscriptions are managed entirely through your Apple ID or Google Play account via RevenueCat. No account with Pocket Pricer is required.
Usage and Advertising Data
With your explicit permission (via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework), we may collect usage data, interaction metrics, and device identifiers (such as IDFA) to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and display personalized advertisements. If you choose not to opt in, we will not track your activity across other apps and websites for advertising purposes.
3. Camera & Photos
Pocket Pricer requires access to your camera and photo library to identify products. Photos you take or select are uploaded to our backend (Supabase) for the purpose of product identification via Google Lens.
When you add a scanned product to your inventory, the photo captured during that scan is stored permanently on our secure servers as part of that inventory item's record. You can delete any inventory item and its associated photo at any time within the app.
Photos taken during scans that are not added to your inventory are uploaded temporarily for identification purposes only and are not stored permanently by Pocket Pricer.
4. Tracking
Advertising & Analytics
We may collect certain device identifiers and app interaction data to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
This may include:
- Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), if permission is granted
- Device information (such as device type and operating system version)
- App usage events (such as app installs, app opens, and subscription purchases)
- Attribution data related to advertising campaigns
If you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, this information may be shared with third-party advertising partners, such as Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook), for the purposes of ad attribution, analytics, and campaign optimization.
Tracking permission can be managed at any time through your device settings:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
We do not sell personal information.
5. Payments
Subscriptions are managed entirely through your Apple ID or Google Play account via RevenueCat. No account with Pocket Pricer is required. We do not collect or store your payment card details.

• General location (country/region, based on IP address)
This data is used solely to improve app performance and user experience. It is not sold to third parties. Firebase Analytics is operated by Google LLC. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's data processing terms.
Supabase
We use Supabase to power our backend infrastructure, including database storage, authentication, and image processing features.
• Images captured within the app may be securely uploaded and processed through Supabase servers
• Data is encrypted in transit and handled adhering to industry standards
• Supabase does not use your data for advertising purposes
AppsFlyer
We use AppsFlyer to measure app performance, attribution, and marketing effectiveness. AppsFlyer may collect device-level data such as:
• Device identifiers (e.g., IDFA where permitted)

This data helps us understand which campaigns drive installs and improve user experience. AppsFlyer does not sell your personal data.
